It is a medicine in the form of granulated sachets for oral suspension that is formulated with a combination of paracetamol, chlorphenamine and phenylephrine, active ingredients used to relieve the symptoms of flu and colds, which are associated with fever or mild to moderate pain, congestion and runny nose.
It comes in a pack of 10 granulated sachets.
Formulated for use in adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
Dissolve the contents of the sachet in a small amount of liquid, preferably half a glass of water, and then drink.
Take 1 sachet every 6-8 hours as needed (3 or 4 sachets per day). Do not exceed 3 g of paracetamol (equivalent to 4 sachets) every 24 hours.
In patients with hepatic insufficiency or Gilbert'ssyndrome , do not exceed 3 sachets in 24 hours and the minimum interval between doses is 8 hours.
Chronic alcoholics should be careful not to take more than 2 g of paracetamol (equivalent to 3 sachets) of this medicine per day.
Paracetamol can damage the liver when taken in high doses or for prolonged treatment.
Do not use Termalgin Influenza:
Like all medicines, Termalgin Influenza may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, during the period ofuse of paracetamol, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine, the following have been observed:
Frequent: Slight drowsiness, dizziness, muscle weakness: these adverse effects may disappear after 2-3 days of treatment. Difficulty in facial movements, clumsiness, tremor, alterations in sensations and tingling, dry mouth, loss of appetite, alterations in taste or smell, gastrointestinal discomfort (which may decrease if the medicine is given with food), nausea, vomiting, vomiting, vomiting, nausea and vomiting.vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pain, urinary retention, dryness of the nose and throat, thickening of mucus, sweating, blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
Each sachet of Termalgin Flu contains 650 mg of paracetamol, 15.58 mg of phenylephrine bitartrate (equivalent to 8.21 mg of phenylephrine) and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate (equivalent to 2.8 mg of chlorphenamine). The other excipients are: Mannitol (E-421), saccharin sodium, colloidal anhydrous silica, orange flavouring (containing maltodextrin, which is a corn starch derivative) and povidone.
The use of this medicine is subject to the onset of symptoms.As soon as symptoms disappear, treatment should be stopped.
If fever persists for more than 3 days of treatment, pain or other symptoms persist for more than 5 days or worsen, you should consult your doctor.
