It is a medicine formulated with a combination of paracetamol, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine to relieve symptoms such as fever, congestion and runny nose. It is therefore used to treat colds and flu-like conditions.
It comes in a practical pack with 20 sachets inside.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 sachet dissolved in water every 6-8 hours. Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose of 4 sachets per day.
Do not take Anticatarrhal Edigen:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Consult your doctor about taking this medicine if you are taking any other drug for diseases such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturates), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting...).(barbiturates), nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propanolol), depression, Parkinson's disease...
Anticatarrhal Edigen may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Frequent: nightmares, excitement, nervousness, dry mouth, throat and nose.
Very frequent: skin rashes and blood disorders.
Each sachet of Anticatarral Edigen contains 500 mg of paracetamol, 10 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are: Aerosil 200, povidone K29/32, anhydrous citric acid, saccharin sodium, sucrose, sodium cyclamate, Givaudan 74016-71 orange flavouring, orange yellow colouring S (E-110).
This medicine comes in the form of sachets for oral solution. They have a pleasant orange flavour and a very simple dosage: simply dissolve the contents in half a glass of water, mixing well before taking.
See your doctor if after 3 days of treatment you do not notice any improvement, or if your symptoms worsen.
