In children weighing less than 7 kg, suppositories should be considered if this route of administration is clinically feasible.
In children under 3 years of age, a doctor's prescription is recommended for the use of paracetamol.
Do not use Apiretal 100 mg if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the excipients, in hepatocellular disorders, phenylketonuria, dehydration, etc.
Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal failure, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, among others.
Although no problems have been reported in pregnant women, a doctor should always be consulted before use.
No problems have been reported during lactation, although a doctor should always be consulted before use, as maximum concentrations of 10-15 microlitres/ml have been found in milk 2 hours after ingestion.
Consult a doctor if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or shielding the effect relatively.
Apiretal 100 mg Oral Solution may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria, anaphylactic shock), general malaise, agranulocytosis, thromobocytopenia, hypoglycaemia, increased transaminases, hepatotoxicity, cloudy urine, among others, have been reported.
This medicine should not be mixed with ethyl alcohol, as it would be more hepatotoxic.
The active substance of Apiretal is paracetamol. Each ml of solution contains 100 mg of paracetamol, as well as other excipients such as: polyethylene glycol, glycerol (E-422), raspberry essence, saccharin sodium (E-954), azorubine (carmoisine) (E-122) and water.
If you have mild to moderate pain, take Apiretal 100 mg/ml according to the prescribed dosage.
If the fever lasts for more than 2 or 3 consecutive days, the treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. If the pain persists for more than 5 days, treatment should also be discontinued.
