Remidol is a medicine in the form of sachets for oral solution that combines different active ingredients:
Paracetamol, an active ingredient that is effective for pain and fever.)
Dextromethorphan, which inhibits the cough reflex
Chlorphenamine, an antihistamine that reduces nasal secretion.
It is therefore used for the relief and treatment of influenza and catarrhal processes.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.
Take 1 sachet every 6-8 hours, no more than 4 sachets a day.
Do not use Remidol in children under 14 years of age.
Consult your doctor about taking this medicine if you are taking any other drug for diseases such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturate, barbiturate...), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting).nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propanolol), depression, Parkinson's disease...
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components, as well as if you have lung diseases, respiratory depression, asthma, if you suffer from liver or kidney disease, pneumonia... Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you suffer from any health problem.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: This medicine cannot be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Do not take with bitter orange or grapefruit juice.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages using this medicine as it may cause liver damage.
This medicine contains sucrose (special care in diabetic patients), sodium (special care in hypertension) and orange yellow (may cause asthma).
Like all medicines, Remidol sachets may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness.
Very frequent adverse reactions: cloudy urine, hypoglycaemia, restlessness, insomnia, trembling, nervousness, clumsiness of movements...
The active ingredients of Remidol are paracetamol 650 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 20 mg. The other excipients are: sucrose, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate, orange yellow S (E-110), saccharin sodium, anhydrous citric acid, polysorbate 80, povidone K 30, titanium dioxide (E-171), lemon flavouring, quinoline yellow (E-104).
The sachets have a refreshing lemon flavour and should be dissolved in half a glass of water, stirring well before swallowing.
Do not exceed the maximum dose of 4 sachets per day.
If after 3 days the symptoms do not improve or worsen, seek medical advice.
