Symptomatic relief of catarrhal and influenza processes with mild or moderate pain in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.

It is a medicine in the form of sachets for oral solution indicated to alleviate the symptoms associated with colds and flu, such as cough, congestion or runny nose.
It is intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Dosage will vary according to age range:
- In adults and over 14 years of age, it is recommended to take one sachet between 4 or 6 times a day ( every 6 or 4 hours) ;
- In adolescents between 12 and 14 years of age, 1 sachet every 6 hours is recommended.
Special mention to those patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol.
If you have had a problem of respiratory insufficiency, asthma or COPD, you should consult your doctor before taking Propalgina sachets.
It should not be used in patients with high blood pressure or in patients who have suffered a cardiovascular accident, nor should it be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Propalgine may cause side effects, as with all medicines.
Frequent: hepatotoxicity (due to paracetamol), renal toxicity and allergic dermatitis.
Very common: hypertension due to phenylephrine.
The composition contains the following active ingredients: 500 mg of paracetamol, 2 mg of chlorphenamine maleate, 7.5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride, 10 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 200 mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). The remaining excipients are: 3,676.1 mg sucrose and 34.44 mg sodium (provided by saccharin sodium, 20 mg; sodium cyclamate, 180 mg; edetate disodium, 4.6 mg and cola flavouring, 182.8 mg).
