Pharmafren 200 mg/30 mg - 20 capsules

It is a medicine that combines ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine to relieve symptoms such as fever, nasal congestion and pain.

It is a medicine used to treat colds and flu-like conditions.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age.

Take 1 capsule every 6 hours. If symptoms are very intense, take 2 capsules every 6 hours. Do not exceed 6 capsules per day.

• Do not use Pharmafren in children under 15 years of age.

• Do not take this medicine if you suffer from asthma, tachycardia, high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma or if you are taking medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease. This medicine is also contraindicated in diabetes.

• The use of this medicine is contraindicated if you are drinking alcohol, because if you regularly drink alcohol, stomach bleeding may occur.

• This medicine may cause drowsiness, which may impair driving ability.

• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: This medicine cannot be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

• This medicine tests positive for doping in athletes.

• This medicine contains sodium (special care in hypertension).

Like all medicines, Pharmafren may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: tiredness, headache, heartburn, skin disorders.

• Very frequent side effects: slurred speech, alterations in sensations and tingling, dry mouth and nose, loss of appetite, etc.

The active ingredients in Pharmafren are ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine. Each hard capsule contains 200 mg of ibuprofen and 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.

The other ingredients are:

Core: maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, pregelatinised maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, sodium lauryl sulphate.

Capsule: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E-171), patent blue V (E-131), erythrosine (E-127).

This medicine comes in the form of blue capsules, which should be swallowed with a little water to make it easier to swallow.

Do not take this medicine on an empty stomach.

Do not take more than 6 capsules a day. If after 3 days of treatment the symptoms do not improve, seek medical advice.
