Fricold is a medicine that combines paracetamol, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine to relieve symptoms such as fever, nasal congestion and discharge, and pain.
It is a medicine used for cold and flu-like conditions.
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
Take 1 sachet every 6-8 hours and no more than 4 sachets a day.
Do not use Fricold in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
Consult your doctor about the use of this medicine if you are taking any other drug for diseases such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturate...), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting).nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propanolol), depression, Parkinson's disease...
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: This medicine cannot be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
This medicine contains mannitol (may produce a slight laxative effect).
Like all medicines, Fricold may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: nightmares, excitement, nervousness, dry mouth, throat and nose.
Very frequent adverse reactions: skin rashes and blood disorders.
The active ingredients of Fricold are: 650 mg paracetamol, 15.58 mg phenylephrine bitartrate (equivalent to 8.21 mg phenylephrine) and 4 mg chlorphenamine maleate (equivalent to 2.8 mg chlorphenamine).
The other ingredients: Mannitol (E-421), saccharin sodium (E-954), anhydrous colloidal silica, orange flavouring (containing maltodextrin, which is a corn starch derivative) and povidone.
The sachets have a pleasant orange flavour and should be dissolved in at least half a glass of water, shaken well and then taken.
Do not take more than 4 sachets a day. If after 3 days the symptoms do not improve, seek medical advice.
