Febrectal Infants 150 mg Paracetamol 6 Suppositories

It is a special medicine for infants with analgesic and antipyretic action that relieves symptoms related to fever and mild to moderate pain. It comes in suppository form for use in cases where the medicine cannot be administered orally due to factors such as nausea or vomiting.

Intended for the relief of pain and fever in infants weighing 10 kg or more.

Remove the suppository from the container and insert into the rectum. It is recommended to cool in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before application to prevent softening.

The recommended daily dose varies according to the weight and age of the infant. It is recommended to administer 15 mg paracetamol per kg body weight every 6 hours, or reduce the dose to 10 mg/kg every 4 hours.

Do not use Febrectal in infants:

- In case of allergy to paracetamol or to any of the other components present in this medicinal product.

Febrectal lactantes may cause side effects, as with other medicines, but this does not mean that everybody will suffer from them.

- Rare side effects: hypotension, malaise, increased levels of transaminases in the blood.

- Very rare side effects: allergic dermatitis, jaundice, cloudy urine, kidney disease, hypoglycaemia, blood disorders.

Each Febrectal infant suppository contains 150 mg paracetamol as the main active ingredient, the other excipients are: anhydrous colloidal silica and solid semi-synthetic glycerides.
