Tablets for the treatment of occasional mild to moderate pain in adults and children from 9 years of age.
Contains 20 effervescent tablets.
Efferaldol is a medicine formulated with paracetamol and vitamin C, two active ingredients used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever.
It comes in a pack of 20 effervescent tablets.
Suitable for use in adults and children from the age of 9 years.
Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water, and wait until completely dissolved before taking. The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Adults and over 14 years of age: take 1 or 2 tablets every 4/6 hours. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 8 tablets per day.
Children between 9 - 14 years (over 27 kg): take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours. Maximum 5 tablets daily.
In patients with renal insufficiency the dose will be:
Glomerular filtration 10-50 ml/min: 1 tablet every 6 hours.

In patients with hepatic insufficiency, do not exceed 6 tablets daily, necessarily at intervals of 8 hours.
Do not use Efferaldol with Vitamin C:

Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal insufficiency, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, oxalate urolithiasis or iron reserve disorders (haemochromatosis, sideroblastic anaemia), fructose intolerance.
Vitamin C can increase excretion of basic drugs and increase excretion of acidic drugs. It also increases iron absorption in the digestive tract.
In pregnant women, a doctor's supervision is recommended before use, as well as during breastfeeding.
Consult your doctor if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or of paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or relatively shielding the effect.
In alcoholic patients, the dose should not exceed 3 g of paracetamol within 24 hours.
Efferaldol with Vitamin C may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines on the market. Specifically, the following have been observed, derived from each active ingredient.

It can also cause Esteven-Johnson syndrome, acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis, toxic epidermal necrolysis, which can be fatal.
Vitamin C:
Skin rash and urticaria, chromaturia, diarrhoea and dizziness.
As a concomitant drug, may cause blood and lymphatic system disorders (agranulocytosis), abdominal pain, hepatitis, abdominal discomfort, among other adverse reactions.

In adults, the dose of 3 g per day should not be exceeded.
If the pain persists for more than 5 days, the treatment should be discontinued, as it requires medical intervention for re-evaluation and adjustment of the treatment.
