It is a medicine that combines paracetamol, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine to relieve symptoms such as fever, congestion and runny nose. It is therefore used to treat colds and flu-like conditions.
It comes in a practical pack with 10 sachets inside.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 sachet dissolved in water every 6-8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 4 sachets per day.
Do not take Anticatarral Edigen:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Consult your doctor about taking this medicine if you are taking any other drug for diseases such as epilepsy (lamotrigine, phenobarbital...), depression (barbiturates), nausea and vomiting (nausea and vomiting).(barbiturates), nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide), diuretics (furosemide), antihypertensives and drugs for heart rhythm disturbances (propanolol), depression, Parkinson's disease...
Anticatarrhal Edigen may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Frequent: nightmares, excitement, nervousness, dry mouth, throat and nose.
Very frequent: skin rashes and blood disorders.
Each sachet of Anticatarral Edigen contains the following active ingredients: 500 mg of paracetamol, 10 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate. The other excipients are: Aerosil 200, povidone K29/32, anhydrous citric acid, saccharin sodium, sucrose, sodium cyclamate, Givaudan 74016-71 orange flavouring, orange yellow colouring S (E-110).
This medicine comes in oral solution sachets and has a pleasant orange flavour. The dosage is very simple: just dissolve the contents in half a glass of water, mixing well before taking.
If you do not notice any improvement in 3 days, or if the symptoms worsen, seek medical advice.
