Desenfriol C, 10 Sachets

It is a medicine in the form of granulated sachets formulated with a combination of acetylsalicylic acid, chlorphenamine maleate to relieve the symptoms of flu and colds, such as fever, stuffy and runny nose and pain. In addition, caffeine counteracts the symptoms of fever and malaise. Its formula also contains vitamin C.

Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 16 years of age.

Take 1 sachet every 8 hours. If necessary, it can be taken every 6 hours.

Do not use Desenfriol C:

• In children under 16 years of age.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components present in this medicine.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
• In patients with diabetes.
• If you are going to consume alcohol at the same time (if you regularly drink, stomach bleeding may occur).
• If you suffer from haemophilia or blood clotting problems, asthma, tachycardia, if you suffer from high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma or if you are taking medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness, which may impair your ability to drive.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: This medicine cannot be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Like all medicines, Desenfriol C can cause side effects:

• Frequent: gastrointestinal disorders (such as gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, gastric discomfort, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting).respiratory disorders (such as shortness of breath, bronchial spasm, rhinitis), urticaria, skin rash, angioedema, hypoprothrombinemia.

• Rare: Reye's syndrome in children under 16 years, liver disorders (especially in patients with juvenile atritis).

• Rare: drowsiness, dry mouth.

The active ingredients in Desenfriol C are: chlorphenamine maleate 2.0 mg, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 500.0 mg, acetylsalicylic acid 388.8 mg and caffeine 32.4 mg. Other excipients: mannitol (E-421), saccharin sodium, anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydrogencarbonate, sucrose, orange flavouring, anhydrous sodium carbonate, orange yellow S (E-110).

This medicine comes in the form of effervescent granules with an orange colour and a pleasant orange flavour.

It is best taken dissolved in water, waiting for all the bubbles to dissolve before swallowing. Do not take on an empty stomach.

Do not take more than 4 sachets a day. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of treatment, seek medical advice.
