The recommended dose is 1 tablet every 12 hours, divided into 2 doses in the morning and evening.
The tablets should be swallowed directly, without sucking or chewing, with a little water.
Do not take Remifemin tablets:
If you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to the rhizome of Cimicifuga racemosa L. or to any other component of Remifemin.
This medicine is not indicated for pregnant or breast-feeding women. The safety of this medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding has not been established.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
The use of contraception is recommended if there is a possibility of becoming pregnant during treatment.
Like all medicines, Remifemin may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, cases of liver damage (including hepatitis, jaundice, alterations in liver function tests) have been reported in association with the use of medicinal products containing Cimicifuga racemosa L. root.
Gastrointestinal disturbances (dyspepsia, diarrhoea), allergic skin reactions (urticaria, itching, skin rash), facial oedema and peripheral oedema and weight gain have also been reported. The frequency of occurrence is unknown.
If you experience such effects, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Each tablet of Remifemin contains 0.018 - 0.026 ml of liquid extract of rhizome of Cimicifuga racemosa L. corresponding to 20 mg of the plant (extraction agent: propa-2-nol 40% v/v).
Excipients : powdered cellulose, potato starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, peppermint essence.
