Vaginal cream for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis, caused by a fungus called Candida.

It is a medicine for the external vaginal area formulated with clotrimazole, an antifungal that acts against fungal infections. More specifically, it treats vulvovaginal candidiasis, a type of infection caused by a fungus commonly called Candida, while relieving its symptoms.
The most common symptoms are itching, increased vaginal discharge, pain and redness of the vaginal and vulvar area, as well as burning and a burning sensation when urinating.
Intended for use in women and adolescents over 12 years of age with vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Apply a small amount of cream to the applicator and insert deeply into the vagina, preferably at night, lying on your back with your legs slightly bent. A single application is normally sufficient.
The use of tampons, spermicides, intravaginal douches or other products is not recommended while using this medicine. It should also not be started during menstruation.
Do not use Gine-Canesten:
If you are under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to clotrimazole, imidazoles or any of the other ingredients included in this medicine.
Gine-Canesten cream may cause side effects, as is the case with other medicines, which does not mean that everyone will suffer from them:
Irritation of the genital area, itching, rash, scaling, burning.
Edema, erythema, pelvic pain, vaginal discomfort, vaginal bleeding.
Abdominal pain.
Allergic reactions such as urticaria, hypotension, difficulty breathing or syncope.
The active substance in Ginecanestén Vaginal Cream is clotrimazole. Each gram of cream contains 20 mg clotrimazole. The other excipients: sorbitan stearate (E491), polysorbate 60 (E435), cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, benzyl alcohol (E1519), purified water.
Ginecanesten vaginal cream is an antifungal medicine used for the treatment of uncomplicated vulvaginal candidiasis that relieves its symptoms, such as itching, excessive discharge or itching during urination.
To use it, it is recommended that you lie on your back with your legs slightly bent. Then introduce the cream deeply with the help of the cannula provided. The best time to do this is at night, so that the medicine can work for as long as possible and be more effective.
