Rosalgin is an anti-inflammatory medicine for vaginal administration. Its active ingredient is benzydamine hydrochloride, so it is indicated for the local and temporary relief of itching and stinging of the external vaginal area in adult women.
Rosalgin is for use only in women over 18 years of age.
During pregnancy and breast-feeding it can be used under medical prescription.
The recommended dose is 1 or 2 external douches per day for 5 days.
Do not use Rosalgin:
If allergic to benzydamine or to any of the excipients.
In case of sensitivity or irritation, or persistent burning or itching you should discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
Rosalgin may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, the following side effects have been observed
Very rare adverse effects (less than 1 in 10,000 people): skin sensitivity to sunlight, burning, itching at the site of application.
The active substance is benzydamine, each sachet of Rosalgin contains 500 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride. The other excipients are: tricetol, sodium chloride and povidone K-25.
Rosalgin is available as a white granules for vaginal solution. Boxes of 10 or 20 sachets are available.
The solution is prepared by dissolving the contents of 2 sachets in 1 litre of water. The water may be lukewarm.
After applying the solution, wash your hands with plenty of water.
