Utabon Children 0,25 mg/ ml Nasal Drops 15 ml

It is a medicine in the form of nasal drops that belongs to the decongestant group. Its active ingredient is oxymetazoline, which when administered nasally produces intense vasoconstriction, resulting in effective nasal decongestion.

Suitable for use in children over 6 years of age.

Apply 2 drops every 24 hours in each nostril. If necessary, it could be applied every 12 hours.

• Do not use Utabon Children in children under 6 years of age, as well as special caution in children over 65 years of age.

• Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted.

• This medicine is contraindicated in people who have had head surgery such as cranial, transnasal or transoral surgery.

• This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride (special care should be taken in people with persistent congestion, as they should use a decongestant that does not contain this component).

Like all medicines, Utabon infant drops may cause side effects:

• Frequent adverse reactions: headache, sneezing, nasal itching.

• Very common side effects: dependence on the medicine, dizziness, nervousness, palpitations, difficulty falling asleep.

The active substance in Utabon Children is oxymetazoline. Each ml contains 0.5 mg oxymetazoline hydrochloride (35 micrograms per 0.07 ml pulse).

The other ingredients are: benzalkonium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, glycine (E-640), sorbitol (E-420) and purified water.

Utabon nasal nebuliser comes in a 15 ml bottle containing a clear liquid solution.

Before using the bottle, it is advisable to turn it upside down and discard the first drops, and to remove any nasal fluids by blowing your nose or using sea water or saline solution.

Always use the lowest effective dose, as this medicine may cause dependence.

If there is no improvement after 2 days of use, consult your doctor.
