Symptomatic treatment of cerebral microcirculation disorders or circulatory insufficiency in the extremities.

It is a medicine formulated to improve circulation. It is therefore indicated for the symptomatic treatment of cerebral microcirculation disorders (such as vertigo and tinnitus) or symptoms associated with circulatory insufficiency in the limbs (such as cramps and coldness in the legs).
It comes in a pack of 60 tablets.
Suitable for use in adults over 18 years of age.
Take one tablet 3 times a day (120 mg), for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
If necessary, this dose may be increased to 4 tablets a day (160 mg).
Do not take Tavonin tablets:
If you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you are under 18 years of age.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding are not recommended without consulting a doctor, as there is insufficient data on the use of this medicine in these circumstances.
Like all medicines, Tavonin may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them.
In some cases, hypersensitivity, allergic shock or allergic skin reactions (redness, swelling, itching) may occur.
Adverse reactions mainly consist of gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain and nausea, but also headache, dizziness and vertigo or aggravation of existing vertigo.
Each Tavonin tablet contains 40.0 mg of dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves EGb 761® .
The other excipients are: sodiumcroscarmellose, dimethicone emulsion, colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose, macrogol, magnesium stearate, corn starch, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, talc and colouring agents: titanium dioxide (E-171) and iron (III) oxide/iron oxide hydrate (E-172).
This is a medicine whose active ingredient is extracted from the ginkgo biloba or Japanese walnut leaf. It is a yellow tablet that is easy to take, preferably with water, and it is advisable to space it out between meals.
