Normostop contains dimenhydrinate, an active ingredient that is useful in cases of motion sickness when using a means of transport.
People over 2 years of age who suffer from nausea, vertigo and/or vomiting due to travelling by means of transport.
Take the medicine at least 30 minutes before travelling. The recommended dose varies according to the age range:
Children between 2 and 6 years: take half a tablet.
Children between 7 and 12 years: take 1 tablet.
From 12 years of age: take 1 or 2 tablets at each dose.
In all cases, if necessary, the dose can be repeated every 8 hours.
Do not use Normostop:
In children under 2 years of age.
In case of allergy to dimenhydrinate or to any of the components present in this medicine.
In people with profiria.
Normostop may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, if they occur, they are usually mild and disappear quickly. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting or stomach pain, although lack of appetite, dry mouth, sleepiness or urinary retention may also occur.
Each Normostop tablet contains 50 mg dimenhydrinate as the main active substance. The other excipients are: microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium starch (potato) glycolate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, quinoline yellow, saccharin sodium, anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate.
