It is a medicine in tablet form formulated with dimenhydrinate that is used to prevent and treat motion sickness caused by means of transport, whether by land, air or sea.
It is used in children from 2 to 12 years of age who are seeking to alleviate the symptoms of motion sickness caused by travelling by means of transport, such as nausea, vomiting or vertigo.
Take the recommended dose (which varies according to the age of the patient) at least half an hour before the start of the journey, although ideally one or two hours before. If it has not been taken, take it as soon as the first symptoms appear.
Specifically, the recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient:
Children from 2 to 6 years of age: 1 to 2 sachets. If necessary, repeat the intake after 6 to 8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 6 sachets per day.
Children from 7 to 12 years of age: 2 to 4 sachets. It can be repeated every 6-8 hours, without exceeding the maximum of 12 sachets per day.
Do not use Biodramina for children:
In children under 2 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or to any of the components present in this medicine.
If you suffer from porphyria.
In asthmatic patients.

Patients with liver disease should consult a doctor before using this medicine so that the dose can be adjusted.
If you are pregnant, as the use of this medicine during pregnancy may be dangerous for the embryo or foetus and should be monitored by your doctor.
Breast-feeding women should not take this medicine without medical advice, as it passes into breast milk and may inhibit milk production.
Biodramina Infantil may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. In this case, these effects are usually mild and it is not known how often they occur:
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach pain.
Lack of appetite and dry mouth.
Sleepiness and drowsiness
Headache, dizziness and lightheadedness.
Increased mucus viscosity in the bronchial tubes, making breathing difficult.
Urinary retention and sexual impotence.
Glaucoma
Dilated pupils, blurred vision or double vision.
Allergic skin reactions and sensitivity to intense sunlight.
Decreased numbers of red blood cells, white blood cells, white blood cells, leukocytes and platelets in the blood.
Porphyria
hypertension or hypotension
Tachycardia, palpitations and/or cardiac arrhythmias.
Hyperexcitability may occur, especially in young children, with symptoms such as insomnia, nervousness, confusion, tremor, irritability, euphoria, delirium, palpitations and even convulsions.
Each 2.5 ml sachet contains 12.5 mg dimenhydrinate as the main active substance. The other excipients are: propylene glycol (E-1520), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), sucrose, saccharin sodium (E-954), sodium cyclamate (E-952), tutti frutti flavouring, sodium chloride and purified water.
Biodramine for children is a slightly yellowish solution with a pleasant tutti frutti flavour and smell. It comes in 2.5 ml sachets. As it does not require special storage conditions, it can be easily transported on any journey or trip.
It is recommended to be taken with food, milk or water, as it may cause gastric irritation. It should also be taken into account that it contains sucrose, so it should be taken into account if you have an intolerance to certain sugars.
