It is a medicine in the form of coated tablets formulated with dimenhydrinate, an active ingredient widely used in the treatment and prevention of motion sickness caused by means of transport, whether by land, sea or air.
It comes in a pack of 12 tablets.
For use in adults and children over 7 years of age seeking to treat the symptoms of travel sickness.
Administer the recommended dose according to the age group, together with some liquid. It is recommended to take the first dose at least half an hour before the start of the journey (preferably 1-2 hours before). If forgotten, the first dose should be taken when symptoms appear. If dizziness persists, allow at least 4 to 6 hours between one dose and the next.
The recommended doses are:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 or 2 tablets per dose. If necessary, repeat the dose every 4-6 hours. Do not administer more than 8 tablets a day, always divided into several doses.
Children from 7 to 12 years of age: half or 1 tablet. If necessary, repeat the dose every 6 to 8 hours. Do not administer more than 3 tablets a day, divided into several doses.
Children 2 to 6 years of age: Biodramina Infantil 25 mg film-coated tablets are recommended instead of this medicine.
Do not use Biodramina 50 mg:
In children under 7 years of age.
In case of hypersensitivity or allergy to dimenhydrinate or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
In patients with porphyria.
In asthmatic patients.

You are over 65 years of age.
You suffer from severe respiratory diseases, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, cardiac arrhythmia, epilepsy, hepatic or digestive disease...
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the consumption of medicines during pregnancy may be dangerous for the foetus or pass into breast milk.
You are going to drive or operate heavy machinery, as it may make you drowsy or reduce your ability to react.
Biodramine 50 mg may cause side effects, as with all medicines on the market. This does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. On this occasion, the side effects are usually mild and transient, although it is not known how often they occur.
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach pain.
Lack of appetite and dry mouth.
Sleepiness and drowsiness
Headache, dizziness and lightheadedness.
Increased mucus viscosity in the bronchial tubes, making breathing difficult.
Urinary retention and sexual impotence.
Glaucoma
Dilated pupils, blurred vision or double vision.
Allergic skin reactions and sensitivity to intense sunlight.
Decreased numbers of red blood cells, white blood cells, white blood cells, leukocytes and platelets in the blood.
Porphyria
hypertension or hypotension
Tachycardia, palpitations and/or cardiac arrhythmias.
Hyperexcitability may occur, especially in young children, with symptoms such as insomnia, nervousness, confusion, tremor, irritability, euphoria, delirium, palpitations and even convulsions.
Each tablet of Biodramine contains 50 mg of dimenhydrinate as the active substance. The other excipients are: pregelatinised maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium sulphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, quinoline yellow (E104).
These tablets are available slotted on one side for easy splitting in case a dose adjustment is needed. In addition, as they do not require special storage conditions, they can be easily transported anywhere.
However, its use may cause gastric irritation, so it is recommended to take it with food, water or milk to minimise the risk.
