It is a medicine in tablet form containing passionflower and other plant extracts that help to reduce the symptoms associated with mental stress, such as nervousness or irritability, making it easier to rest.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age seeking relief from the symptoms of stress.
The recommended dosage varies according to the results sought:
- Relief of mental stress: take 1 or 2 tablets morning and evening, not to exceed a maximum of 8 tablets daily.
- Facilitating rest: take 1 or 2 tablets in the evening, approximately 30 minutes before bedtime.
Do not take Sedistress for anxiety:
- If you are under 12 years of age.
- If you are allergic to passionflower or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
- If you are taking other medicines with calming properties (such as benzodiazepines).
Sedistress Passiflora may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that everybody will experience them. These side effects include nausea, tachycardia or allergic reactions with inflammation of the blood vessels.
Each tablet of Sedistress contains 200 mg of passiflora extract as the main active ingredient. The other excipients in the core are: maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), anhydrous colloidal silica, tricalcium phosphate. The coating components are: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol, talc, ferric oxide red (E172).
Sedistress passiflora is a herbal medicine that helps to manage mental stress, everyday worries and irritations when these are mild to moderate. It can also help people over the age of twelve to fall asleep.
If you want to manage stress at work or in other situations, you can take one or two tablets in the morning with water. If, on the other hand, you want to rest better, you should take it at night at least 30 minutes before going to bed.
