Sedisleep is a herbal medicine for the relief of mild nervous tension and sleep disorders.
It comes in a handy pack of 56 film-coated tablets.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 tablet orally, with a little water and without chewing. The exact dosage will depend on the needs of the patient:
For relief of mild nervous tension, take 1 tablet every 8 hours.
For the relief ofsleep disorders, take 1 tablet half an hour to an hour before going to bed, if necessary, a dose may be taken earlier in the evening.
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 4 tablets.
Do not use Sedisleep:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are allergic to Sedisleep or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding are not recommended without consulting a doctor.
Like all medicines, Sedisleep may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, valerian preparations may cause gastrointestinal disturbances, such as nausea or abdominal cramps. It is not known how often these effects occur.
The active substance in Sedisleep is dry extract of valerian root. Specifically, each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg dry extract of Valeriana officinalis L., radix (equivalent to 2 g - 3 g of valerian root). Extraction solvent: ethanol 60 % (w/w).
The other excipients are:
Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate, pregelatinised starch, anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate.
Film coating: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol, talc, indigo carmine aluminium lacquer (E132), iron oxide red (E172), iron oxide black (E172).
Sedistress tablets are a herbal medicine that is used to treat states of disturbance or nervousness, including to help people get to sleep. It is therefore a good alternative to other drug treatments.
A healthy diet low in saturated fats, rich in fibre and plenty of water, exercise and adequate rest each day is recommended.
