What is Paracetamol Mabo and what is it used for?

It is a medicine formulated with 1 g of paracetamol, an active substance with analgesic properties that is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain , such as muscle, head or dental pain. It is also used for the treatment of fever thanks to its antipyretic action.

It comes in a pack of 10 tablets.

Who it is indicated for

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age.

Instructions for use

Take 1 tablet whole or divided with a glass of water, every 4 to 6 hours. The recommended daily dose varies according to the age and weight of the patient:

  • In adults: do not exceed 3 g daily, divided into doses every 4-6 hours.

  • In children: take 10 mg per kg of body weight every 4 hours, or 15 mg/kg every 6 hours, not exceeding 5 daily intakes.

Contraindications

Do not use Paracetamol Mabo 1 g:

  • In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to paracetamol, or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

  • If you suffer from liver disease.

Side effects

Paracetamol Mabo may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. In this case, the effects that may occur from the use of paracetamol are rare or very rare. In any case, the use of high doses of paracetamol over long periods of time should be avoided, as this increases the risk of side effects.

Side effects that may occur include the following:

  • Malaise.

  • Allergic reactions with symptoms such as rash, hives or anaphylactic shock.

  • Increased liver transaminases, hepatoxicity.

  • Decreased blood glucose.

  • Decrease in blood cells.

  • Hypotension.

  • Sterile Piura.

  • Kidney problems.

Remember that the maximum dose of 60 mg/kg/day should not be exceeded, always spread over several doses.

If after 5 days of treatment the pain does not improve or worsens, stop the treatment and see your doctor for a clinical assessment and appropriate adjustment of the treatment. The same procedure should be followed if feverish symptoms last more than 3 days.

Composition

 

 

Each tablet of Paracetamol Mabo contains 1000 mg of paracetamol as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: stearic acid, povidone, potato sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A) and pregelatinised corn starch.
