Paracetamol for the treatment of mild to moderate pain and feverish conditions in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a tablet medicine formulated with 650 mg of Paracetamol, an active ingredient used to treat symptoms of pain. It has an antipyretic action, so it is also very useful for reducing fever.
It is indicated for adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
Take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours, without exceeding 3 g/day of paracetamol.
In patients with impaired renal function, the dose should be adjusted as follows.
Glomerular filtration 10-50 ml/min, the dose should be 500 mg every 6 hours.
Glomerular filtration rate less than 10 ml/min, the dose is 500 mg every 8 h.
Not recommended in children under 15 years of age or weighing less than 50 kg.
In patients with hepatic insufficiency, the dose should not exceed 2 g/day, with an interval of 8 hours between each dose.
It should not be administered if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the excipients, in hepatocellular disorders, or phenylketonuria.
Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal failure, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, among others.
No problems have been reported in pregnant women, although a doctor should always be consulted before use.
No problems have been reported in breast-feeding, although a doctor should always be consulted before use, as maximum concentrations of 10-15 microlitres/ml have been found in milk 2 hours after ingestion.
A doctor should be consulted if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, oral anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, loop diuretics, methotrexate, methotrexate, methotrexate, methotrexate and other drugs.The doctor should also be consulted if you are taking loop diuretics, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or of paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or shielding the effect relatively.
Paracetamol Sandoz 650 mg may cause side effects, as with all medicines:
Hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria, anaphylactic shock), general malaise, agranulocytosis, hypoglycaemia, increased transaminases, hepatotoxicity, cloudy urine, among others.
It may also cause hypotension.
Each Sandoz tablet contains 650 mg of paracetamol, which is the active substance of the medicinal product.
Excipients: stearic acid (E570), sodium potato starch glycolate (Type A), purified water, crospovidone (E1202), pregelatinised maize starch and povidone K30 (E1201).
If you have pain from any kind of blow, illness, or fever, take one tablet of this medicine every 4-6 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms. Remember that you must be over 15 years of age and 50 kg to be able to take paracetamol 650 mg, always following the indicated dosage.
If after 5 days of treatment the pain does not improve or new symptoms appear, or if it worsens, stop the treatment and see your doctor for a clinical assessment and appropriate adjustment of the treatment. The same procedure should be followed if febrile symptoms last longer than 3 days.
