The elastic crepe bandage manufactured by Farmalastic is a medical device designed to serve as a method of support in traumatisms that require it. This compression will keep the area firm and in a suitable position for healing.
The elastic crepe bandage developed by the Farmalastic brand, part of the Cinfa group, can be used as a fixative for other bandages and dressings. Its main function is to provide a compressive effect in areas of trauma such as sprains and strains. It is made from an elastic, porous and breathable fabric formulated from a combination of cotton and lycra, in proportions of 98 % and 2 % respectively. It is latex-free and its components are hypoallergenic, which drastically reduces the possibility of suffering an allergic reaction when using this product.
It has an excellent adaptability, which favours its placement on limbs and joints. In addition, it will not disrupt the mobility of these areas too much.
It is mainly suitable for adults. It can be used in three main ways. One as a helper, when having traumatisms such as sprains and strains, since its placement will favour the prompt and correct recovery of this condition. Another as a fixative or fastener for other bandages and dressings. It is also indicated as a preventive method for sports injuries, as it will help to keep the area where it is applied firm and secure.
It is advisable to use at least one 30 cm piece of bandage in each bandage, preferably to be applied to traumatised limbs and joints. If this product is required only for the fixation of dressings, a bandage with a shorter length can be used.
This product should always be applied to clean, dry skin, otherwise it will encourage the growth of negative bacteria and even increase the risk of infection. It is also advisable to use a technique that is appropriate for each area of the body when applying the product.
A bad technique or an inadequate tightening can lead to problems and adverse reactions, so it is recommended that it is applied by professional medical personnel.
Do not use as a fixative for sterile dressings or bandages directly on an open, bleeding wound. In case of adverse reaction, discontinue use of this product. Avoid use if hypersensitive or allergic to cotton or lycra. Once removed, the bandage can be washed for reuse.
98% cotton and 2% lycra fabric.
