Mepilex Border Sacrum Dressing is an all-in-one dressing with Deep Defense® technology that prevents pressure ulcers and treats sacral wounds. In addition, it manages exudate and prevents maceration, offering high protection in the sacral area.
Mepilex® Border Sacrum All-in-One Dressing is the only five-layer foam dressing for the sacrum that features patented Deep Defense® technology, which has been shown to prevent pressure ulcers when used with other standard prevention protocols. The dressing can also be used to treat moderate to highly exuding wounds in the sacral area. It absorbs and retains exudate, maintaining the optimal moisture environment and reducing the risk of maceration. The new improved design includes new positioning tabs and thicker edges to facilitate dressing placement. The shape of the sacrum has been improved for good coverage of the sacral area for the prevention of sacral pressure ulcers. In addition, it features an optimal seal in the sacral area to provide the maximum possible protection. The improved design still includes Safetac®, the first pain-reducing contact foil with silicone adhesion.
