What is it and what is it for?

The Genové N-10 tubular bandage for wrist and ankle is a product for therapeutic use, designed to aid in the recovery of muscle injuries with inflammation, oedema, haematomas and other minor wounds. In addition, its firm positioning and compressive capacity allows it to keep dressings in place. At the same time, its breathable fabric allows the wound to breathe and the skin does not become irritated.

It has dermatological use, providing the necessary conditions to soothe and stimulate recovery from minor skin injuries, such as burns. It can even be used for more serious injuries such as sprains or dislocated joints.

Who is it suitable for?

It is mainly indicated for bandaging thin wrists or ankles of both men and women. The measurements of the product correspond to 6 cm as a resting extension, a length of 100 cm, a maximum extension of 15.2 to 17 cm and a circumference of 13 to 16 cm with a maximum of 34 cm.

Instructions for use

It is advisable to follow the following instructions for correct application:

  • Cut the bandage to an appropriate size for the situation. This step is essential, as there should be neither too much nor too little bandage when applying the bandage. To get the right size, make sure it is twice as long as the area where it is to be applied.
  • Once the bandage is cut, it is introduced into the limb, either leg or arm, and half of it is positioned over the injury to be bandaged.
  • The other half is stretched and folded upwards until it reaches the first half, but it should end 3 fingers above where the other half ended.
  • When the bandage is finished, it is removed and washed with mild products so as not to damage the fabric. Discard only when the garment looks too deteriorated, has perforations or does not meet the necessary compression.

Contraindications

Never near sources of ignition, the fabric is flammable. Do not put pieces of bandage in the mouth or swallow. Do not apply to open wounds without first cleaning the area thoroughly. Avoid and stop its use if the person suffers from allergy to any of the components of the fabric, mainly latex, which is a common allergen.
