Genové Tubular Bandage N-20 Middle Extremity is a compressive bandage indicated for post-operative rehabilitation, oedemas, haematomas, inflammations, among others. It is a non-sterile product and has a length of 100 cm. It is intended for the middle extremities.
Genové tubular compressive bandage is a bandage whose progressive compression action favours venous return of the middle limb. It is also used to help keep the limb immobilised and thus provide greater support and protection to the area. This Genové band is ideal for cases of post-operative rehabilitation, haematoma, inflammation or oedema in the forearm area or in the tibial area of the leg.
The purpose of this type of bandage is to help maintain the affected area in a natural and functional anatomical position with a slight flexion of the joints. In this way, the aim is to avoid abrupt stretching, muscle shortening or abnormal tendon shortening that could worsen the adjacent injury. It also allows for proper venous return for therapeutic and preventive purposes, provided that the bandage is applied by trained personnel. The bandage has a total length of 100 cm. In resting extension, its length is 6.8 cm and 20.3 cm in maximum extension. It has a circumference of 16-20 cm.
Genové Tubular Bandage N-20 Middle Extremity is indicated for immobilisation and progressive compression of the middle extremities in cases of oedema, inflammation, haematomas and post-operative rehabilitation.
Farmaciasdirect recommends cutting the bandage 2 times longer than the affected area. Subsequently, the first half should be placed on the affected limb. Then, pull the other half over the first one and place it 3 fingers below where the first one ends, as indicated in the product instructions. Always use a double layer. The area of injury should be clean and dry before applying the bandage.
Keep out of sunlight, in a dry place at a temperature between 5 °C and 30 °C. Do not use for purposes other than those described in the instructions. Do not apply the bandage if you are not 100% trained, as poor compression may cause excessive pressure on the tissues and affect circulation. In case of loss of sensation, tingling or cold sensation, blue-purple colouring of the fingers or discreet paleness of the limb, remove the bandage immediately and consult a specialist.
