What is it and what is it for?

The tubular mesh bandage N-0,5 fingers Ref 0,5 made by Genové is a medical device that facilitates the placement and fixation of dressings. Its design is innovative and easy to use as it consists of a fabric in the shape of a hollow cylinder where the finger should be inserted.

The fabric is elastic to facilitate placement, but it will always try to return to its resting shape, so it will have a useful compressive effect to fix dressings without the need for adhesives. Compression is minimal so as not to disrupt blood circulation to the area. It has an airy design that will allow air to pass between the skin and the environment, thus avoiding excessive sweating or possible irritation due to excess moisture.

It is recommended that in addition to fixing dressings, it is used as an effective method to help relieve inflammation, oedema, haematomas and even in post-operative rehabilitation treatment.

Who is it indicated for?

It is mainly indicated to cover the fingers of the hands and to fix dressings in a safe way and without the use of adhesives. Its size is suitable for the hand of most adults, adolescents and even some small children.

Instructions for use

It is advisable to choose the right size of the mesh for the injury to be covered. Once the correct size is selected, the bandage is removed from the packaging and measured according to the length of the wound. It is advisable to measure a slightly longer length than the injury to ensure that it covers the entire wound. It is then cut, preferably with scissors, and placed on the affected area.

Before applying the bandage or even taking it off to measure it, it is recommended that the entire area around the injury is thoroughly disinfected and the dressing applied. If necessary, you can always change the bandage for a new one, but it is not advisable to use the same piece of bandage for so long. Once you have finished using it, the piece of bandage is discarded, as it is not reusable.

Contraindications

Keep the bandage in a cool place with a temperature between 5 and 30 degrees Celsius. Avoid direct contact with sunlight and moisture during storage.
