What is it and what is it for?

Indas box of compresses and sterile gauze are compresses designed for use in all types of treatment of injured skin. They can be used to cover surgical wounds and the umbilical cords of newborns. They have a high absorption capacity, which allows them to be used to clean and protect wounds. They are made so that they do not shed particles thanks to their special folding that leaves the edges hidden. It is a product that comes in a protective cover that maintains sterility. They are easy to use, as the protective cover is convenient and practical to remove. It is made of a rectilinear fabric with a surface area of 400 square centimetres, with a weft of 20 threads per square centimetre. It comes folded in 8 layers, making it a very absorbent pad.

It is a soft compress, easy to adapt and with a great capacity for dragging, which facilitates the healing and cleaning of the wound. It can be used to clean the wound without leaving residue, which offers a very low risk of contamination. It is a single-use disposable product and is sized to go anywhere. They are ideal to include in emergency kits or to keep at home. They provide safe compression to help stop bleeding. When placed over wounds, they protect them and absorb secretions to keep them dry.

Who is it for?

It is a cotton compress indicated for the care of wounds.

Instructions for use

With clean, dry hands, open the sachet in which the gauze pad is packaged. Use one gauze pad to clean the wound and the other to dry it thoroughly, dabbing gently until the wound is dry. If it is going to be used to help heal the navel of a newborn, as long as the umbilical cord does not fall off, this compress will keep it dry, protected and covered.

To do this, use a new, sterile compress and dry it as often as necessary. With another sterile gauze pad, apply the disinfectant, wait for it to dry and cover with a new, completely dry gauze pad. This should also be done with every nappy change until the navel is completely healed.

Contraindications

Do not use if contaminated or if the cover is physically damaged.

Composition
