Efferaldol Flas 500 mg 16 Orodispersible Tablets

Efferaldol Flas is a medicine in the form of orodispersible tablets that is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate sporadic pain and fever.

It comes in a convenient pack containing 16 orodispersible tablets.

Suitable for use in adult patients over 18 years of age.

Disintegrate 1 tablet in the mouth before swallowing.

The dose is one tablet every 4 hours. This dose should be reduced by 25 % in case of renal insufficiency.

In the case of alcoholic patients, special care should be taken, the maximum dose should always be 4 tablets (2 g/day). In adults weighing less than 50 kg, the maximum dose is 6 tablets (3 g/day).

Do not use Efferaldol Flas:

• In children under 18 years of age.

• If you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the excipients, in hepatocellular disorders, or phenylketonuria.

Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal failure, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, among others.

No problems have been reported in pregnant women, although a doctor should always be consulted before use.

No problems have been reported in breast-feeding, although a doctor should always be consulted before use, as maximum concentrations of 10-15 microlitres/ml have been found in milk 2 hours after ingestion.

A doctor should be consulted if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or shielding the effect relatively.

Efferaldol Flas may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed

• Hypersensitivity reactions: general malaise, agranulocytosis, thromobocytopenia, hypoglycaemia, increased transaminases, hepatotoxicity, cloudy urine, among others.

Each Efferaldol Flas tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol as the active substance. As for the excipients, they are: Citric acid anhydrous, Sodium bicarbonate, Sorbitol (E-420), Sodium carbonate anhydrous, Sucrose for compression (sucrose, maltodextrine and glucose), Crospovidone, So(E-211), Orange flavour (501189TP0551) (orange essential oil, acetaldehyde, ethyl butyrate, acetic acid, tocopherol and maltodextrin), Aspartame (E951), Acesulfame potassium.

In case of fever or pain, take one Efferaldol Flas tablet as directed above.

In adults, the dose of 3 g per day should not be exceeded. If the pain persists for more than 5 days, the treatment should be stopped and a doctor should be consulted for re-evaluation and adjustment of treatment.
