Diltix 400 mg, 12 Film-coated Tablets

It is a medicine made with ibuprofen, an active substance in the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used for the treatment of pain or fever.

It comes in a pack of 12 tablets.

Suitable for use in adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age, or with a body weight over 40 kg.

Take half or 1 tablet a day as a single dose, with the same dose repeated every 6 hours if symptoms require it.

Do not use Diltix 400 mg:

• In children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg.

• In case of allergy to ibuprofen or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

• If you suffer from blood clotting disorders or bleeding.

• If you have suffered from bronchospasm, asthma, urticaria after taking other NSAIDs, acetylsalicylic acid or similar.

• If you have or have had stomach or oesophageal ulcers.

• If you have severe liver, kidney or heart disease or if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.

Diltix contains sodium (special caution in patients with hypertension) and lactose (special caution in patients with intolerance to this excipient).

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

The active substance in Diltix 400 mg is ibuprofen. Each tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen. The other ingredients are:

Tablet core: hypromellose, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium lauryl sulphate, magnesium stearate.

Coating: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E-171), talc and propylene glycol.

This medicine comes in white film-coated tablets, which can be taken whole or halved with water.

Do not take more than the number of tablets per day that corresponds to your weight and age. If after 3 days of treatment the symptoms or fever have not disappeared, you should see a doctor.
