Normodol 400 mg Granules for Oral Solution Efg, 20 sachets

It isa medicine containing ibuprofen as the active ingredient, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for thetreatment of moderatepain and/or fever in adults and adolescents over 40 kg or 12 years of age such as dental pain, muscular pain, menstrual pain, etc .

It comes in a practical pack of 20 granulated sachets.

This medicine is suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age or weighing more than 40 kg.

Take 1 sachet every 6 to 8 hours if necessary, although it is advisable not to exceed 3 sachets per day.

Do not use Normodol 400 mg sachets:

• In children under 12 years of age.
• In case of allergy to ibuprofen or to any of the components present in the composition of this medicine.
• If you suffer from blood clotting disorders or bleeding.
• If you have suffered from bronchospasm, asthma, urticaria after taking other NSAIDs,acetylsalicylic acid or similar.
• If you have or have had stomach or oesophageal ulcers, if you have severe liver, kidney or heart disease or if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

• Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: you should consult your doctor.
• It is advisable to take this medicine with food or milk to avoid gastric upset.
• This medicine contains sucrose (special care in diabetic patients), sodium (special care in hypertensive patients) and aspartame ( aspartame has a source of phenylalanine, which may be harmful in patients suffering from phenylketonuria).

Like all medicines, Normodol sachets can cause side effects, but this does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: fatigue or drowsiness, headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, digestive problems, blood in stools, blood in vomit, high blood pressure, dizziness, skin rash.

The active substance in Normodol is ibuprofen. Each sachet contains 740 mg of ibuprofen (arginine) equivalent to 400 mg of ibuprofen as the active substance. The other excipients are: arginine, aspartame (E-951), sucrose, sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium saccharin, sodium lauryl sulphate, orange flavouring (contains glucose in maltodextrin from maize and other excipients) and purified water.

Normodol comes in the form of white granulated sachets for oral solution, with an orange odour. The maximum recommended dose should not be exceeded.

If after 3 days of treatment the pain or fever has not disappeared or is getting worse, you should see a doctor.
