Dalsy is a medicine in the form of an oral suspension used for the symptomatic treatment of pain and feverish conditions.
It comes in a handy 30 ml bottle.
Dalsy Oral Suspension is specially formulated for children over 3 months of age, although it can also be used in adolescents and adults.
This medicine is administered orally. The container should be shaken vigorously with the syringe before taking the appropriate dose. Once administered, wash down with water for the next dose.
It should be taken together with some milk or food, in order to prevent digestive discomfort.
In people over 12 years of age weighing more than 40 kg and adults, the dose should be 5 to 10 ml every 4 hours, the maximum recommended dose being 10 ml 3 times a day (1200 mg Ibuprofen).
The dosage regimen of Dalsy in paediatric patients should be according to the following table, although it may be subject to modification under medical supervision:

Dalsy should not be administered:
Dalsy Oral Suspension may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines on the market. In this case, its use may infrequently lead to thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and haemolytic anaemia.
It may also infrequently cause asthma, allergic reactions such as bronchospasm, rhinitis, asthma, oedema, dyspnoea, heart failure, visual disturbances, hypertension, among others. More frequently, it may cause headaches, skin rash and itching, as well as gastrointestinal discomfort, dyspepsia and vomiting.
Each ml of Dalsy contains 40 mg of ibuprofen as the active substance. The other excipients are: Sodium benzoate (E-211), anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, sodium chloride, hypromellose, sodium chloride, hypromellose, sodium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate (E-211).sodium chloride, hypromellose, xanthan gum, liquid maltitol (E-965), thaumatin (E-957), strawberry flavouring, azorubin (E-122), glycerol (E-422) and purified water.
In case of fever or pain take or administer the relevant amounts of Dalsy 40 mg/ml Oral Suspension according to the dosage guidelines given above.
If fever lasts longer than 2 or 3 consecutive days, treatment should be discontinued. If pain persists for more than 5 days, treatment should be discontinued.
In both cases, medical intervention and re-evaluation for treatment adjustment will be required.
