Geloprofen Rapid 400 mg Powder for Oral Suspension, 12 Sachets

It is a medicine containing ibuprofen as the active substance, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID ) .

It is used for the treatment of moderatepain and/or fever in adults and adolescents over 40 kg or 12 years of age, such as dental pain, muscle pain, menstrual pain, etc.

It comes in a practical format of 12 sachets.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age or weighing more than 40 kg.

Take 1 sachet of Geloprofen Rapid every 6 to 8 hours if necessary, although it is advisable not to exceed 3 sachets a day.

Do not use Geloprofen Rapid:

• In children under 12 years of age.
• In case of allergy to ibuprofen or to any of the ingredients.
• If you suffer from blood clotting disorders or bleeding.
• If you have suffered from bronchospasm, asthma, urticaria after taking other NSAIDs,acetylsalicylic acid or similar.
• If you have or have had stomach or oesophageal ulcers, if you suffer from severe liver, kidney or heart disease.
• If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

• Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.
• Pregnancy and lactation: you should consult your doctor. Contraindicated in the third trimester.
• It is advisable to take this medicine with food or milk to avoid gastric discomfort.
• This medicine contains sucrose and glucose (special care in diabetic patients), sodium (special care in hypertensive patients), cyclodextrins (betadex E459) and tartrazine (E-102), which may cause allergic reactions.

Like all medicines, Geloprofen Rapid sachets may cause side effects, but thisdoes not mean that everybody will experience side effects .

In this case, the followingcommon side effectshave been observed: fatigue or drowsiness, headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, digestive problems, blood in stools, blood in vomit, high blood pressure, dizziness, skin rash.

The active ingredients of Geloprofen Rapid are: Each sachet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen (contributed by 683.34 mg of ibuprofen lysine). The other excipients are: betadex (E-459), lemon flavouring (contains tartrazine (E-102), corn starch and glucose from cornmaltodextrin ), saccharin sodium, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate (E-331) and sucrose.

Geloprofen Rapid comes in the form of white granulated sachets for oral solution, with a refreshing lemon scent .

You should not take more than the number of sachets per day that corresponds toyourweight and age. Ifafter 3 days of treatment the symptoms or fever have not disappeared, you should see a doctor.
