Aspirin Granules 500 mg 10 Sachets

It is a medicine in the form of granulated sachets that is used to treat symptoms involving pain such as sprains, muscle contractions, headache or menstrual pain, as well as feverishness.

It comes in a practical pack of 10 sachets.

Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 16 years of age.

Open the Aspirin 500 mg granulated sachet and pour directly onto the tongue. It is dispersed in saliva, it is not necessary to drink water at the same time.

The appropriate dose is 1 sachet every 4 hours, the maximum dose being 4000 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

Dose adjustment is required in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.

Do not use Aspirin Granulate:

• In children under 16 years of age, due to possible occurrence of Reye's Syndrome.
• In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the components present in this medicine.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• If you are taking the following medicines, special caution should be exercised because of possible interactions: Ibuprofen, cyclosporine, cimetidine and ranitidine, antidiabetics such as insulins or sulphonylureas, diuretics and antihypertensives such as ACE inhibitors and ARBs, SSRIs, interferons, vancomycin, lithium, valproic acid, barbiturics, phenytoin, methotrexate, digoxin, among others.
• Special care should be taken in patients with allergic rhinitis, hypertension, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, urticaria, hepatic dysfunction.
• In patients undergoing dental surgery or dental extractions, it is recommended to discontinue treatment one week before.
• In patients who consume alcohol (beer, wine, ...), there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
• It should not be used as a preventive for post-vaccination symptoms.

Aspirin 500 mg granulated may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines on the market. In this case, the following have been observed:

• Frequent: they usually result in gingival bleeding, haematomas, digestive bleeding, bronchial spasm, rhinitis, severe dyspnoea, nasal congestion, dyspepsia, vomiting, gastro-duodenal ulcers, Reye's syndrome in children under 16 years of age, among others.
• Infrequent: they usually lead to liver failure, gastrointestinal inflammation, although if used for a very long time, they may cause dizziness, headache, renal failure, deafness, among others.

Each Aspirin granulated sachet contains 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid as the active ingredient. The other excipients are: Mannitol (E-421), Aspartame (E-951), Ascorbic acid (E-300), Sodium hydrogencarbonate, Sodium dihydrogenocitrate, Citric acid, Orange flavouring and Cola flavouring.

If you have a fever or any type of joint, muscle, menstrual or headache pain, take one or more sachets of Aspirin a day, as indicated above. If the pain does not improve within 5 days, or the fever within 3 days, it is recommended that you see a doctor for a proper clinical assessment.
