It is a medicine in the form of drops with analgesic and antipyretic action that relieves mild to moderate pain in children, as well as for treating febrile states.
It is intended for use in children from 0 to 10 years of age suffering from feverish conditions and for the relief of mild to moderate pain .
The recommended dose of Apiretal drops varies according to the weight of the child. Specifically, the amount of paracetamol is 60 mg per kg per day , divided into 4 or 6 doses. It is usual to administer 15 mg/kg every 6 hours, or to reduce the dose to 10 mg/kg every 4 hours.
Do not take Apiretal
- In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to paracetamol, as well as to any of the components included in this medicine.
- If you suffer from any liver-related disease.
Apiretal drops may cause side effects , as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will suffer from them as, in this case, adverse reactions are generally rare or very rare. These are:
- Serious skin reactions.
- Blood disorders, such as leukopenia or neutropenia.
- Liver damage.
Each ml of solution contains 100 mg paracetamol as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: polyethylene glycol, glycerol (E-422), raspberry essence, saccharin sodium (E-954), azorubine (carmoisine) (E-122) and water.

Presented in dropper format, its dosage is 15 mg per kilo of body weight every six hours. It can be administered with milk, juice or water, providing a slight sweet taste thanks to the raspberry essence which makes it easier for the baby to take.
