Ibufen 400 mg Oral Powder, 24 Sachets

It is ananti-inflammatorymedicineused for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild to moderate pain and fever .

It contains 24 sachets.

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age or weighing more than 40 kg.

The recommended dose is 1 sachet (equivalent to 400 mg of ibuprofen) 3 times a day, at intervals of 6-8 hours. Do not exceed 1200 mg of ibuprofen (3 sachets) after 24 hours.

In patients with gastric discomfort, it is recommended to take the medicine during meals.

- In patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.

Like all medicines, Ibufen may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.Specifically,the following side effects have been observed:

Gastrointestinal disorders

• Frequent: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, burning, flatulence and constipation.
• Rare: bleeding, stomach or duodenal ulcers.
• Rare:gastric or intestinal perforation, inflammation of the oesophagus and ulcers or inflammation of the intestine.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders

• Frequent:skin rash.
• Rare:reddening of the skin, itching or swelling of the skin, swelling of the lips, face or tongue, increased nasal discharge and difficulty breathing.
• Rare: severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock).
• Very rare:sudden severe itching ofthe skin or blistering of the skin, joint pain and fever (systemic lupus erythematosus), hair loss, skin reactions under the influence of light. Medicinal products containing this active substance may be associated, in very rare cases, with very serious blistering reactions such as Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis and allergic vasculitis.

Special caution withIbufen 400mg sachets:

- If you take this medicine while you have an infection and symptoms of infection persist or worsen, consult a doctor without delay.
-Also, this type of medicine may cause fluid retention, especially in patients with heart failure and/or high blood pressure (hypertension) .

Each sachet of Ibufen contains 400 mg of ibuprofen. The other excipients are: Isomalt (E-953), anhydrous citric acid, acesulfame potassium (E-950), glycerol distearate (type I) and lemon flavouring (natural flavourings, maltodextrin, alpha-tocopherol (E-307)).

A doctor should be consulted if it gets worse or if it does not improve after 3 days. Do not take on a full stomach, takemore than the maximum recommended dose or expose yourself to sunlight if you have taken ibufen.
