Anso ointment is indicated for the local treatment of internal and external haemorrhoidal conditions.

It is a rectal ointment medicine for the relief of haemorrhoids from Anso. Itcontains active ingredients for the relief of haemorrhoid symptoms, with anti-inflammatory activity, such as the corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide; another that acts against pain or itching, the local anaesthetic lidocaine.It also contains pentosan polysulphate sodium, which is an anticoagulant and helps dissolve small blood clots.
Anso cream is indicated for the local symptomatic treatment of the manifestations associated with haemorrhoids, such as inflammation, pain, itching or stinging in adults over 18 years of age.
It is recommended to apply after bowel movements and personal hygiene.
1. Before applying Anso, the affected area should be cleaned with warm water and mild soap .Dry and apply the ointment.As a general rule, apply 1 to 3 times a day an amount of ointment of 1-2 cm on the area to be treated. You should apply the amount of ointment to the anal region with one finger, using the tip of the finger to overcome the resistance of the sphincter. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
If the ointment is to be applied inside the rectum, screw the enclosed applicator onto the tube and insert the tip into the anus, then apply a small amount of ointment with light pressure on the tube.

If you are allergic to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics, pentosan polysulphate sodium or related compounds, triamcinolone or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).
If you suffer from haemorrhoidal bleeding (bleeding haemorrhoids).
If you have any infection, injury or irritation in the affected area.
Like all medicines, haemorrhoid ointment may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case,adverse effects are more likely to occur with prolonged use or excessive doses and with application with occlusive (tight-fitting and not very breathable) materials.
The assessment of adverse effects is based on the frequency of occurrence:
Discontinue treatment if the product causes irritation.
Do not use this medicine in excessive doses or for prolonged periods, or with occlusive dressings or nappies (tight-fitting, poorly breathable materials), as increased absorption significantly increases the risk of adverse effects.
Particular caution should be taken if you are being treated with anticoagulants (to prevent blood clots) or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, for pain and/or fever), to avoid possible bleeding.
Caution when using this ointment on the elderly or patients with damaged or weakened mucous membranes, as they may be more sensitive to the absorption effects of the active ingredients.
The active ingredients in Anso haemorrhoid ointment are lidocaine hydrochloride, pentosan polysulphate sodium and triamcinolone acetonide. Specifically, each gram of ointment contains 20 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride (2%), 10 mg of pentosan polysulphate sodium (1%) and 0.1 mg of triamcinolone acetonide (0.01%). The other excipients are: alcohol cetoestearílico, cetoestearilsulfato de sodio, aceite de ricino polioxietilenado, butilhidroxianisol (E320), ácido cítrico (E330), macrogol éter cetoestearí E330 ,cetostearyl macrogol ether,decyl oleate , ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), propylparahydroxybenzoate, sorbitol (E420), propylene glycol,edetate disodium, thymol, hexetidine and purified water.
