Ulipristal Aristo 30 mg, 1 Film-coated Tablet

It is an emergency oral contraceptive to be used as a last resort after unprotected sex or after a failed method of protection.

It contains 1 film-coated tablet.

Formulated for adult women of childbearing age.

This is a single tablet that should be taken as soon as possible, but no later than 5 days after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure.

You can take the tablet at any time during your menstrual cycle.

If you vomit within three hours of taking the medicine, you should take another tablet as soon as possible.

Do not use Ulipristal Aristo:

• If you have previously had an ectopic (outside the uterus) pregnancy, if you have had pelvic inflammatory disease (salpingitis), if you have a high risk factor for thrombosis, if you have a disease that interferes with the absorption of food and drugs, or if you have liver or bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease ).
• If you are already pregnant, as this medicine does not interrupt a pregnancy already in progress, so you should not take it if pregnancy has already occurred.

• Breast-feeding care: It is possible to take this medicine while breast-feeding but because levonorgestrel is excreted in breast milk, you should breast-feed immediately before taking the tablet and wait at least 8 hours before breast-feeding your baby again.
• This medicine contains lactose (special care for those who are lactose intolerant or allergic) and sodium (special care in hypertension).

Like all medicines, Ulipristal may cause side effects.In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, delayed menstrual period, bleeding, tiredness, breast tenderness.. .

The active substance in Ulipristal Aristo is ulipristalacetate . Each film-coated tablet contains 30 milligrams ofulipristal acetate . The other excipients are: lactose monohydrate, pregelatinised maize starch , sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose (E464), hydroxypropylcellulose (E463), stearic acid (E570), talc (E553b), titanium dioxide (E171).

Ulipristal 30 mg comes in theform of a white tablet with theinscription "U30" on one side. It is an emergency contraceptive and should not be used as a regular method of contraception . It should be administered as soon as possible after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure .

If you vomit within 3 hours after administration, you should take another tablet as soon as possible.
