Salvacam Gel 60 gr

It is a gel for topical use formulated with piroxicam, the active ingredient of this medicine which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, reducing localised pain.It is therefore indicated for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age for the local symptomatic relief of muscular and joint pain such as contractures, lumbago, torticollis, small contusions, bruises, sprains and strains.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Apply a thin layer of the product to the painful or inflamed area 3 to 4 times a day.

Do not use this Salvacam:

• In children under 12 years of age.
• In case of allergy to any of its components, not on eroded skin, open wounds, mucous membranes or burns.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: consult your doctor before using this medicine.
• Contains propylene glycol, which may cause itching of the skin.

As with all medicines, Salvacam gel may cause side effects. In this case, the following common adverse reactions have been observed: contact dermatitis, skin sensitivity.

The active substances are: piroxicam. Each gram of Salvacam gel contains 5 mg piroxicam. The other excipients are: carbomer, isopropyl alcohol, glycerol (E-422), propylene glycol (E-1520), diisopropanolamine and purified water.

Salvacam comes in the form of a clear yellowish gel to be applied topically.

Do not exceed 3 or 4 applications per day. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 7 days, consult your doctor.
