It is a topical anti-inflammatory gel. It is indicated for pain relief in cases of pain such as muscle pain, joint pain such as bruises, sprains, strains or a blow as long as they are not open wounds or mucous membranes.
It will also relieve pain in cases of muscle cramps, back pain or torticollis.
Recommended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Reflex gel is a gel for topical use, and should always be applied to healthy skin, avoiding open wounds or mucous membranes.
It should be applied to the area to be treated or where the pain is being experienced, using a sufficient quantity and massaging it into the area so that it is completely absorbed.
It is advisable to wash your hands after each application.
We can apply réflex gel 100 grams 3 to 4 times a day, spaced at least 6 to 8 hours apart, depending on the need or the intensity of the pain suffered.
If allergic to methyl salicylate, turpentine, camphor and menthol or to any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).
If you are allergic to salicylates, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as ibuprofen).
If the skin in the area to be treated is wounded or injured.
In children under 12 years of age.
During the third trimester of pregnancy and breast-feeding.
If you suffer from active peptic ulcer or have a history of peptic ulcer.
During the period of use of the combination of the active substances of this medicinal product, the following side effects have occurred with the following frequencies:
Hypersensitivity (including urticaria, anaphylaxis, angioedema and erythema).
Dermatitis, urticaria, vesicular rash (which usually disappear after discontinuation of treatment).
Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from available data):
asthma, bronchospasm
Contact dermatitis, application site reactions, burning at the application site (in case of severe hypersensitivity or application with occlusive dressings, treatment should be discontinued immediately).
- This medicine is for external use only, do not ingest.
- Apply Reflex only on intact skin, without wounds.
- Avoid contact with the face, mucous membranes (nose, mouth), eyes and other sensitive parts of the body.
- Do not apply Reflex to very large areas of skin, or with tight bandages, or if you are going to exercise or apply heat to the area where it is used. If you cover the area where Reflex has been used, do so in such a way that the garment covering the treated area is slightly loose.
Discontinue use of Reflex Gel if you experience excessive irritation or discomfort or if you develop sensitivity.
You should consult a doctor before use during the first or second trimester of pregnancy.
You should consult a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 7 days of treatment.
The active ingredients per gram of gel are: 100 mg methyl salicylate, 60 mg turpentine, 30 mg camphor and 30 mg menthol.
The other ingredients (excipients) are: isopropyl alcohol, ethanol 96%, propylene glycol (E-1520), hydroxypropyl cellulose (E-463) and benzyl alcohol (E-1519).
It is advisable to avoid applying this gel to areas where there are open wounds or mucous membranes.
Do not use more than recommended, i.e. 3 or 4 times a day. If the pain does not improve or gets worse within 7 days, it is advisable to consult a doctor to assess the situation.
Also, if when applying the gel we notice irritation, heat, stinging or intense reddening of the area, we should rinse quickly with plenty of water.
