Lacovin 2% Minoxidil Solution 60 ml

It is a medicinal solution for cutaneous use formulated with minoxidil, an active ingredient widely used for the treatment of androgenic alopecia, which is the most common type of baldness.

It comes in a convenient 60 ml bottle.

Intended for use in adults over 18 and under 65 years of age who suffer from androgenic alopecia.

The dosage is 1 ml every twelve hours, i.e. 2 ml per day. It is applied to the healthy scalp, avoiding the product falling on other areas of the body. Wash hands before and after each application.

Do not use Lacovin:

• Under 18 years of age and over 65 years of age.

• In case of allergy to minoxidil or to any of the components present in this medicine.

• If there are wounds, redness, inflammation or irritation in the scalp area where the treatment is to be applied.

• If you suffer from circulatory problems or high blood pressure.

Frequent (may affect up to 1 in 10 patients):

• Local skin irritation (scaling and redness).

• Contact dermatitis

• Dry skin

• Oedema (excessive fluid accumulation)

• Burning and stinging sensation on the skin

• Hypertrichosis (hair growth on the skin)

Rare (may affect up to 1 in 100 patients):

• Allergic reactions

• Eczema (inflammatory skin condition)

• Headache and paraesthesias (numbness in arms or legs)

• Dizziness, weakness, malaise

• neuritis (inflammation of a nerve) and taste disturbance

• Irritation of the eyes, disturbance of vision

• Otitis (inflammation of ears) (particularly otitis externa)

Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 patients):

• Changes in blood pressure and heart rate.

• Alopecia, patchy hair

• Chest pain.

Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from available data):

• Dyspnoea (shortness of breath)

• Depression

• Peripheral oedema

• Musculoskeletal pain

Each Lacovin tablet contains 20 mg minoxidil as the active substance. The other excipients are: ethanol, propylene glycol (E1520), purified water.

Lacovin is an easy-to-use medicine that is applied with the fingertips to the area to be treated, massaging from the inside out.

It is important not to exceed the recommended daily dose and to avoid exposure to the sun after application, as this product may increase the skin's photosensitivity.
