Farmalastic Elastic Bandage is a textile piece made of cotton used to make compressive bandages in case of venous processes, muscle, tendon or ligament injuries. Thanks to its fabric structure, it adheres to itself. In other words, it is self-adhesive and does not require any external fixation. It does not stick to the skin, so it can be removed and modified if necessary. It is easy to apply and is available in 4 different sizes.
This elastic bandage can also be used to support dressings or for splinting. The compressive type bandage for which this piece has been designed prevents swelling and protects the affected area from undue movements that could impair its evolution and proper healing. This bandage is used to exert continuous pressure on a part of the body. It is useful in case of deep thrombosis or oedema of the lower limbs. It is also used to stop blood loss in the case of open wounds.
It is also used to promote venous return in case of vascular pathology. In emergencies, it is used to treat minor contusions, ligament injuries and amputations.
The piece is beige in colour. It does not contain latex or silicone and measures 4.5 m x 5 cm.
