Acofar Crepe Elastic Bandage 4 M x 10 cm

Acofar Elastic Crepe Bandage 4 m x 10 cm is a product made of 100% natural cotton fabric, which adapts to the natural movements of the body, but prevents slippage and loss of position. It is indicated for immobilising various parts of the body affected by traumatic injuries, sprains, varicose conditions and strains.

It is designed to adequately treat trauma. It is an elastic band that exerts compression and helps to reduce the discomfort and pain associated with these conditions. It has a neutral colour and its woven fabric with delicate fibres reduces the possibility of direct contact with the tissue, but offers optimum protection against wounds and lacerations. It can be sterilised and used in conjunction with clinical ointments. It is breathable and does not lose elasticity when washed.

Can be used to:

• Stimulate blood circulation to an extremity where increased irrigation is required.
• Wrap splinted or immobilised limbs during the recovery process.
• Hold healing dressings in place, but encourage perspiration and exudation.
• Keep hot and cold compresses in place.

Provide moderate and even compression on the injured skin. In this way, it helps to relieve inflammation and pain.

Its use is appropriate for people who have traumatic injuries to a limb and need to support and immobilise the area while it recovers. It is also adapted to the needs of those who show varicose conditions and need to stimulate blood circulation.

• Hold the bandage so that the beginning of the roll is facing upwards from the hand.
• Place the end of the bandage over the top of the area to be covered. In the case of hands or feet, leave the fingers outside the bandage.
• Hold the end with one hand, while wrapping the area to be treated with the bandage using the other hand.
• The wrapping should be done in a spiral pattern and simulate the outline of the number 8. Overlap the elastic bandage by half its width with each turn you make.
• Fasten the end of the fabric with the hooks provided for this purpose.

Hand wash with soap and water. Allow to dry at room temperature. Keep away from small children and extreme heat sources.

Avoid use if you have open wounds with extreme exudation. Discontinue use if unexpected reactions are noted.
