Nicorette 2 mg is a medicinal chewing gum formulation, the active ingredient of which is nicotine. This product is used in nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) treatments designed to help people stop smoking.
These chewing gums are aimed at adult smokers who use fewer than 20 cigarettes a day and want to quit. They help to relieve withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, insomnia, constipation and intense cravings.
By delivering a controlled dose of nicotine, the gum reduces the discomfort associated with withdrawal without offering the same experience as smoking. To successfully quit tobacco, you need to be fully convinced and committed to the process.
Recommended dosage: Use one chewing gum when the urge to smoke arises, allowing at least 1-2 hours between each one.
Daily amount: Generally, between 8 and 12 chewing gums a day, without exceeding 24.
Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment varies according to individual needs, but should not exceed 6 months. It is advisable to reduce consumption gradually to avoid relapse.
Each chewing gum contains 2 mg of nicotine, plus other ingredients such as gum base, sorbitol and flavourings. For detailed information on contents and possible side effects, please refer to the enclosed leaflet.
