What is VISPRING 0.5 ML/ML EYELID and what is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat temporary redness of the eyes caused by mild, non-infectious irritations due to, for example, smoke, dust, wind, chlorinated water, light or allergies in adults, adolescents and children from the age of 6 years.
Target group
Adults, over 6 years of age.
Children over 2 years and under 6 years should be treated with this medicine only on the advice of a health care professional.
Composition of vispring eye drops.
Active substance: 1 ml of eye drops contains 0.5 mg of tetryzoline hydrochloride.
Excipients: glycerol, hypromellose, macrogol 400, boric acid, disodium phosphate, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium lactate, glycine, ascorbic acid, dextrose, polyquaternium 42, purified water.
Directions for use
Children from 6 years of age, adolescents and adults:
Unless otherwise directed by a doctor, apply 1 or 2 drops to the affected eye(s) 2 to 3 times daily. Remove contact lenses beforehand (see "Instructions for contact lens wearers").
Children over 2 years and under 6 years:
In children 2 to 6 years of age, this medicine should only be used on the advice of a health care professional. Unless otherwise stated, the recommended dose is 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2 to 3 times daily.
Vispring eye drops are an eye decongestant widely used in situations of conjunctival irritation caused by external agents such as pollution, smoke or chlorine from a swimming pool.
Its dosage is very simple. Simply apply a couple of drops, up to 3 times a day. It is recommended to wash the eye beforehand with an ophthalmic serum to remove the exudate and improve the action of the medicine.

Contraindications
You are allergic to tetryzoline hydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).
Narrow-angle glaucoma.
In children under 2 years of age.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 patients):
-Dilation of the pupil.
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):
- Dryness of the conjunctiva with occlusion of the lacrimal puncta after prolonged use of tetryzoline.
- Watery eyes after prolonged use of tetrizoline.
Frequent (may affect up to 1 in 10 patients):
-Eye irritation (pain, stinging, burning).
-Visual disturbances.
- Rebound hyperemia.
- Burning of mucous membranes.
- Dry mucous membranes.
Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from available data):
-Increased lacrimation.
- Burning in or around the eyes, redness, irritation, swelling, pain and itching.
