Ojosbel is a medicine belonging to the group of medicines called sympathomimetics, which are used for their decongestant and antiseptic action.
Its use is indicated for the relief of symptoms of eye irritation, congestion, allergic conjunctivitis and redness caused by external agents.
It comes in a practical 8 ml bottle.
Suitable for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, administer only if prescribed by a specialist.
Apply 1 or 2 drops in each eye, approximately 3 or 4 times a day. The dose can be increased if the discomfort requires it.
Do not use Ojosbel if you are allergic to naphazoline hydrochloride, witch hazel water or any of the other ingredients.
It is also contraindicated in glaucoma and if you suspect you may have any type of injury or wound inside the eye.
Ojosbel may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. In this case, it has been observed:
Unusual side effects: blurred vision, dilated pupils, stinging, burning, liver-type reactions and conjunctivitis.
Very rare side effects: headaches, palpitations, nervousness, nausea, weakness, sweating.
In prolonged treatment and/or high doses (excessive use), may cause eye irritation.
The active ingredients of Ojosbel eye drops are: naphazoline hydrochloride and witch hazel water. Each ml of eye drops solution contains: 0.3 mg naphazoline hydrochloride and 0.08 ml witch hazel water. Other excipients: boric acid, sodium borate, cetavlon and purified water.
For correct administration of this medicine, tilt the head back and separate the lower eyelid with the index finger to form a kind of sac. Drop 1 or 2 drops into the sac, never into the tear duct (inside of the eye), taking care not to rub the surface of the eye with the end of the bottle.
Once applied, keep the eye closed for a few moments to allow the liquid to be distributed throughout the inside of the eye.
The use of Ojosbel eye drops does not cause any discomfort, on the contrary, it immediately provides a sensation of freshness and well-being.
