It is a medicine in the form of eye drops for ophthalmic use that is used as a substitute for tears. It is formulated with Carmellose sodium, an active ingredient used for the symptomatic relief of eye irritation and dryness.
It comes in a convenient single-dose format of 30 x 4 mleach.
Suitable for use in both adults and adolescents.
Also suitable for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Apply 1 drop to the affected eye(s), whenever necessary or as directed by a doctor.
Each single-dose solution should be used immediately after opening, discarding the remaining contents. To avoid possible contamination of the dropper and the solution, the dropper should not come into contact with the eye or any other surface.
Do not forget to wash your hands before each use.
Do not use Carmellose Qualigen if you are allergic to carmellose sodium or any of the excipients.
If irritation, pain, redness or changes in vision occur or if you think your condition is getting worse, stop using this medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Carmelose Qualigen may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following side effects have been observed, although the number of people who may be affected is unknown: irritation of the eye, burning or stinging sensation, blurred vision and increased tear production (also known as lacrimation).
The active substance in Carmellose Qualigen is carmellose sodium. Each ml of solution contains 5 mg of carmellose sodium. The other ingredients are sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid and water for injections.
The composition of Carmellose Qualigen has been specially designed to simulate the natural composition of your tears. Its convenient single-dose format makes it easy to take with you wherever you go. It can even be used with disposable contact lenses.
It comes in single-dose packs of 0.4 ml sterile solution. Each carton contains 30 single-dose packs.
Do not reuse the pack, even if there is remaining solution. If more than one medicine is used ophthalmically, each application should be spaced at least 5 minutes apart.
