It is a topical medicine formulated with salicylic acid and lactic acid for anti-wart action. Thanks to its dual action mechanism, it softens and destroys the stratum corneum to facilitate the removal of warts.
Comes in a handy 15 ml bottle.
Intended for the treatment of skin warts in adults and children over 12 years of age. During pregnancy and breastfeeding it can only be used under medical prescription.
Apply a drop with the enclosed spatula to the wart or warts to be treated, avoiding the surrounding healthy skin to prevent burns. To do this, it is recommended to first apply a little Vaseline on the area around the wart.
To enhance its effectiveness, leave to dry and cover with a plaster for 12 hours, repeating the process every day until the wart has completely disappeared.
Although up to 12 weeks of treatment may be necessary, we recommend consulting your doctor if you do not notice any improvement after the first 2 weeks.
Do not use Verufil:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy to salicylic acid, lactic acid or the rest of the components present in this medicine.
On areas of skin that are irritated, inflamed or injured.
On birthmarks or moles.
Verufil may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will suffer from them. In this case, they usually occur on the healthy skin around the wart and include: swelling, redness, ulceration or burning.
If any of these symptoms occur, discontinue treatment until the affected skin improves and return to use only on the wart.
The active ingredients of Verufil are salicylic acid and lactic acid. Each ml contains 150 mg salicylic acid and 150 mg lactic acid. The excipient is collodion, consisting of pyroxylin, rosin, castor oil, ethanol and ether.
Verufil is the sum of two active acids that soften the skin and destroy the stratum corneum, hence its anti-wart action. It is suitable for adults over 12 years of age, although if it is needed for paediatric use, a doctor should be consulted beforehand.
It is a keratolytic solution that is applied once a day to the affected area with the help of a brush, while the surrounding area should be protected with the help of a cream or petroleum jelly to avoid direct contact.
