What is camphor alcohol and what is it used for?

It is a medicine formulated with camphor, an active ingredient that has an analgesic and rubefacient action. It is therefore indicated for the relief of localised muscular or joint pain.

It comes in a 250 ml bottle.

For whom it is intended for

Suitable for use in adults and children over 7 years of age.

How to use

Apply a small amount to the area to be treated, rubbing gently. Can be reapplied 3 or 4 times a day. Wash hands after each application.

Contraindications

Do not use Orravan Camphor Alcohol:

• In children under 7 years of age without adult supervision.

• If allergic to camphor or alcohol.

• On facial skin or on wounds, burns, abraded skin or mucous membranes.

• If pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Do not swallow.

Side effects

Orravan Alkyl Alcohol may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines on the market. In this case, as it is a product for topical use, adverse effects do not usually occur, although in some cases the appearance of rashes or skin irritation may have been observed. If this occurs, discontinue use or consult a doctor.

Composition

The active ingredient of Orravan Camphor Alcohol is camphor. Each 100ml contains 10 grams of camphor (10%). The other excipients are: ethyl alcohol 96 csp.

This medicine comes in a high-density polyethylene container with a stopper device, which is administered in the form of drops. The bottles are 250 ml.
